I remember …

Date: 22nd February 2018

Over the last week our family shifted our mum into a retirement village. Then we set about preparing the family home to go on the market. When we were finished I spent some time wandering around the empty shell that had been our home for almost 30 years.
There were so many memories; good, bad, and downright awful! As I went from room to room I remembered things. Some funny, and some really sad. What struck me though was the ability to remember.
Yes the house will go, and we will never again call it home. But I have precious memories that I can carry with me.What a precious gift.
