I am really excited about this weekend, speaking with a group of women from all over New Zealand about encountering God in our deepest place.
The delight for me is delving deeper into the scriptures and seeing how relevant it still is for us today. For so many of us, we read the words on the page but it never penetrates deeper than that.
We all have to make the decision; will we continue to paddle in the scriptures or will we take the plunge and dive fully into them?
This weekend we will encounter a women from the Scriptures who is bereft, body and soul. She thinks she knows God but she is in for a wonderful surprise. Her expectations and her assumptions will be turned on their head and a new life, a new journey, a new vision will emerge from just this one chance encounter…
